“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”  Proverbs 3:5-6

This is one of my favorite passages; it is displayed proudly in our home and was a center piece at our wedding.  Today, I had a conversation with one of my favorite people, my sissy.  We talked about how God puts things in our path that may not make sense to us in that moment but there is a reason for everything, as Jeremiah 29:11 states (another of my favorites).  She was doing a Bible study by Beth Moore, which was just gripping at her heart for some people she knows.  At first, when she started the study, she just could not understand why God wanted her to do that study; doesn’t apply to her life.  The more she devoured the study, the more she realized the importance of her role, as a wife and influential person to those around her, in tragic situations.

The author of Proverbs tells us to trust in the Lord because He knows the what, when, where, why, and how. It is not our place to dissect the paths He has chosen for us.  Our only jobs are to lean on Him, acknowledge His great timing, widen the opening of our eyes to see His path, and then walk it.

I pray for everyone’s eyes to be WIDE open!

Remember, don’t invite trouble where there is none.
