“The righteous has enough to satisfy his appetite, but the belly of the wicked suffers want.”  Proverbs 13:25

America is one of the few countries that has an entitlement attitude.  You represent that population.  You make the statement, through your actions, “I want more, I want to be more, I have to get more and I deserve it.”  The average American household has two cars, two televisions, two DVD players, a two or more car garage, two bathrooms not to mention a fridge/freezer and a separate second freezer.  Why, because we greedy, constantly seeking the more and we need more space for all the “more” that we intend to get.

There is nothing wrong with having nice things but at what cost are you getting them?

God wants us to prosper but there are clear verses in the Bible that talk about taking care others.  Biblical text points out how to care for the needy, poor, hungry, thirsty, tired, hurt, widowed and down-trodden.  If you are constantly trying to gain more how will you ever fulfill His wish?  There are also numerous verses that state He is all that we need, nothing or no one else could fill us they way He can.

You are giving up way to much and gaining very little in return!

God wants us to be content in the things He has given us to manage.  His Word is telling us we do not need to yearn for anything more that what He can give us.  His provision, sustains.  Our God replenishes.  The Bread of Life nourishes.  We are lifted up by His righteous right hand.   I deliver, says the Lord.  “I AM” fulfills.

When you are not satisfied with Him, then you will constantly want.  So what more do you need, that God cannot provide?

Remember, you cannot take it with you when you go.
