“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.” Proverbs 3:2

When you notice an accomplishment someone else has achieved, acknowledge it.  We tend to wash other people’s proud moments aside so that we can have our own noticed.  Everyone likes praise, especially when society dishes out the negative comments and criticism, left and right.  Society thrives on tearing people down.  As Christians, we need to take the time to build them back up.  People in general should.  Since the majority do not, we should pick up the slack.  Display an example of recognition towards others, in hopes of changing the way people behave.

An accomplishment may not look that way at first, as it may be something we do on a normal basis.  However, you do not know what it took that person to obtain the moment.  Your praise could be just what they needed to hear, to take their accomplishment a step further to a new goal.  It could help build up their self-worth.  Maybe they have been told their whole lives that they are not good enough.  Your praise could be just what they needed to hear to encourage them to praise others for what they have completed.

Don’t waste an opportunity of praise.  If you have the power to give it, let it pour out on them.
