“Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” Proverbs 11:14
I frequently counsel with a few people regarding difficult, heavy-duty decisions, and I am glad I do. Sometimes I do not have the ability to make said decisions without their guidance. I know the difference between right and wrong but occasionally I need clearer vision. I get fired up about things that excite me, make me angry or hurt my feelings.
If I don’t consult with these few people, I may just let my emotions control my actions.
People come to me on a pretty regular basis whether it is through church, Facebook, or messaging. I get messages about many things. Prayer requests. How to hear God. What should I be praying for. How do I pray for things. What would you do in my situation. Have you ever been in my situation. Or even what would God do? To name a few. All of which I feel blessed to be apart of.
The reason I am so dedicated, prayerfully responding to each inquiry is because of the amazing guidance I get receive from those I have chosen to surround myself with. Like the teenagers, I may not take all the advice given but I do consider what is being said and then I give what I have been advised to God.
I have no desire to fall so I take comfort in the safety my counselors give me.
