“Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.”  Proverbs 23:18

The following post was written about ten years ago.  As we just celebrated Christmas, I wanted to give you an example of why Jesus is the reason for the season.

Read this story to give you inspiration for life-altering impact.

Tomorrow will be a day of blessings for one family, the Hannan’s.  Christina Hannan gave birth to a beautiful baby boy last November.  I met Christina on several trips to Minnesota, while visiting my sissy; sweetness flows out of this lady and I was blessed to be around her.  Her and my sister are extremely close friends and just pour the love of Jesus out onto each other.  So when the Hannan family found out about their son’s medical condition, Jamie did not hesitate on jumping in when God called her to duty.

She assisted in the organization of meals, brought the family anything they needed and even kept her friend company.  She has been a diligent prayer warrior and felt the Lord telling her to take up her cross.  Now she is not just any woman, my sister is breath-taking to behold; a writer, author, homeschooling parent of five, church volunteer, public speaker, loving wife and faithful friend.  With all that she has to do already she still did not ignore His call, even though the task was great….so begun the Hannan Benefit.

The community of Brainerd, Minnesota along with their church family has donated over two hundred items to auction off tomorrow.  I know God’s plans are great so the blessings of His donations will pay off to help provide for this family.

Thank you Brainerd donors and Erickson family for displaying God’s hope to the Hannan’s.

Serving others is a simple way to provide hope; what act of hope are your showing?

Christmas is the traditional season for giving.  Do something or be something for another.
