“As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects the man.” Proverbs 27:19
Water reflection is a funny thing when looking at it. You can drop a rock in the water to make a ripple effect or wave your fingers through the water to warp the view but it will not make any difference in the outcome. No matter what you do to the water the reflection will still be the same in the end. Just like the reflection of your heart.
“Sunday morning Christians” are famous for their reflections. “Sunday Christians” are those people who come to church Sunday morning being very religious towards others at church, asking for forgiveness for their weekly sins, and worshiping as loudly as possible. They look real godly to those in their presence. However, Sunday is only one day of the week so they go back to their weekly routines. It does not take long for people to see their true heart reflections because sooner or later church will cross paths with the everyday routines.
The only way to have a beautiful heart reflection is to reflect the life of our Lord. Now I am not saying you will do it perfectly because we are not Him, we will every now and then have some ripples or waves but if we daily try to reflect Him, our hearts reflection will be beautiful.
